Recently employers have been engaged in a struggle to retain talent and fill vacancies.  Now that inflation has surged and there is talk of a recession on the horizon, employers are facing the possibility of future reductions in force. Amidst staffing challenges and economic uncertainty, employers also face continuing COVID-19 concerns, including reluctance of some employees to return to in-person work, increased rights of employees with respect o workplace expression and a variety of pending laws that will impact California employers.

Join AALRR’s employment attorneys for our fall breakfast briefing series as we explore these timely issues.  The discussion will focus on:

• Addressing the current labor shortage with a view towards potential reductions in force; 
• Changes in employer-employee relationship, including increased rights of employees with respect to workplace expression; 
• Trends for remote and hybrid workforces; and
• Recent court cases affecting California employers and pending employment legislation.

Zoom log-in credentials will be provided a few days prior to the September 22, 2022 event in Cerritos to those that registered for the virtual presentation.
