05.12.2016

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo announces the release of the updated Pocket Guide to the Educational Employment Relations Act, published by UC Berkeley’s Institute for Research on Labor and Employment. The Pocket Guide was updated by three AALRR attorneys: Mark Bresee, a senior partner in AALRR’s San Diego office; Anna Miller, a senior associate in Sacramento; and Michele Landenberger, an associate in Irvine. “Over the years, I have found it to be a valuable quick reference guide for attorneys and labor relations professionals,” said Mark Bresee. The 2016 Pocket Guide is the first new edition since 2011.

The updated Pocket Guide to the Educational Employment Relations Act brings readers current on legislation and case law developments. It is designed for day-to-day use by labor and management in California public schools and community colleges. The Pocket Guide includes every major decision of the Public Employment Relations Board and relevant courts as well as the history and complete text of the EERA Act and a summary of PERB regulations. The Pocket Guide is arranged by topic, covering arbitration of grievances, discrimination, scope of bargaining, protected activity, strikes and job actions, unilateral action and more.
