01.10.2023

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo is pleased to announce that four of our partners have once again been recognized as top attorneys in their fields by Super Lawyers. Steven D. Atkinson, Edward C. Ho, Nate J. Kowalski, and Irma Rodríguez Moisa are among the top five percent of the lawyers in California who are selected by Super Lawyers for this recognition.

"We are honored to be well-represented on the list of top lawyers in Southern California. It is particularly rewarding to know that the designation comes from our peers in the legal community,” said Managing Partner James Baca. “This group of lawyers represents the exceptional standards and service our firm brings to our clients.”

Steve Atkinson is a founding partner with a diverse clientele in litigation, labor, and employment law matters. He focuses on representing employers in collective bargaining negotiations, union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice complaints and other proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. He also handles arbitrations pursuant to collective bargaining agreements. Mr. Atkinson has long been recognized as one of the foremost employment lawyers in the country. This is his nineteenth time on the Southern California Super Lawyers list.

Edward Ho is an accomplished business litigator who represents both individuals and corporations in complex civil litigation matters, including shareholder disputes of closely held corporations, international supply and distribution agreements, fiduciary relationships, and business torts. This is his ninth year of recognition as a Southern California Super Lawyer.

Nate Kowalski is Chair of the firm’s Public Entity Labor and Employment Practice Group. An accomplished litigator, he has achieved remarkable results for his clients in hearings, arbitrations, trials and appeals. Recently, his practice has broadened to include collective bargaining and workplace investigations. He is also the co-author of chapters in two leading treatises regarding wage/hour law and PERB procedure. This is his twelfth year appearing on the Southern California Super Lawyers list.

Irma Rodríguez Moisa is recognized as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in the state for her outstanding results for her clients in their most complex and sensitive matters. An experienced litigator, labor negotiator, and trial attorney, she handles matters ranging from discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and the First Amendment. She has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2004.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
