This is an interactive presentation in which participants will have the opportunity to engage the presenters and refine practical strategies to address student behavior, the discipline of students, and development of oliciesto ensure the safety and security of pupils.
Topics covered will include the rights and responsibilities of LEAs, Interim Alternative Educational Settings (“IAES”), Manifestation Determination Reviews (“MDR”), expulsion proceedings, appeals processes, and addressing behaviors through the Individualized Education Program (“IEP”) process.
