FRISK® Summer Master Training Series
What is FRISK®?
The FRISK® Leadership Program is a proven communication framework for successfully remediating performance problems and developing legally defensible documentation when discipline is necessary. It is based on the highly successful FRISK® handbook written by AALRR Senior Partner, Steve Andelson. This program has been used for the past 40 years by school districts, county offices of education, professional education associations, universities, and community and state colleges for training and required coursework.
The training incorporates examples and hypotheticals to explain the FRISK® communication components and major documentation techniques, including the steps for progressive intervention. Emphasis is placed on using verbal feedback and documentation as a constructive, principled means of improving employee performance. Attendees will need the FRISK® handbook which is designed as a practical reference guide for evaluators.
July 13, 2023: Basic FRISK® | 10:00AM-1:00PM PST
Skilled evaluators should know WHAT to say and HOW to convey the feedback message to employees who are demonstrating performance problems. This session will focus on the five communication elements of FRISK® and the importance of each feedback element in addressing below-standard employee performance.
July 13, 2023: Framing the FRISK® Message | 1:30-3:00PM PST
Once you have created a document with the FRISK® method, it is imperative to know how to effectively communicate with the employee about the contents of the FRISK® document so as to influence the employee to improve his/her performance or conduct. Learn tips and techniques for planning and carrying out a successful meeting with the employee, for improving key communication skills, and for investing the employee in positive changes.
July 20, 2023: Advanced FRISK® | 10:00AM-12:30PM PST
Examine the FRISK® elements and progressive intervention techniques in greater depth. Participants are involved in writing FRISK® responses to hypothetical scenarios which are reviewed and analyzed in an open, interactive discussion.
