The Cal-OSHA Standards Board unanimously voted to adopt new emergency regulations for the prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace. These new regulations require employers to shoulder the cost of pay and benefits for workers excluded from the workplace due to COVID-19 concerns.

The regulations provide new instructions to agencies on a variety of workplace safety topics, including face coverings, ventilation, disinfection and sanitation, responding to outbreaks, and employee travel in employer vehicles.

Agencies should understand the upcoming burdens and key aspects of the regulations to develop site-specific plans to ensure compliance with these detailed safety regulations.

Join us to understand the key areas of concern and receive strategies and guidance for compliance in the development of your agency plan to ensure that your workforce is safe and your agency is in compliance.

Key areas of discussion include:

  • COVID-19 Prevention Rules — Communication, Notice, and Workplace Safety Measures
  • Heightened Standards for “Outbreaks” and “Major Outbreaks”
  • Safety Standards for Employer-Provided Transportation
  • Consequences for Noncompliance
