The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), in partnership with Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to present a half-day forum on the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA).

The goal is to provide a place for informed dialogue with stakeholders from around the county and the state to discuss the challenges and requirements of the CVRA. Special panelists from LACOE &

AALRR will be joined by representatives from the Los Angeles County Clerk/Registrar-Recorder, the Califonria Department of Education, the Los Angeles County Committee on School District

Organization, and other professionals, district staff and board members who have recently addressed CVRA issues.  Panelists include:

  • Mr. Warren Kinsler, Partner with AALRR
  • Dr. Allison Deegan, LACOE
  • Mr. Dean Logan, Los Anglese County Clerk-Registrar Recorder
  • Mr. Alex Olvera, Los Angeles County Clerk-Registrar Recorder
  • Mr. Larry Shirley, California Department of Education
  • Mr. Douglas Johnson, National Demographics
  • Dr. Mary Sieu, ABC Unified School District
  • Dr. Barbara Dunsheath, North Orange County Community College
  • Mr. Frank Bostrom, L.A. County Committee on School District Organization
  • Ms. Susan Solomon, L.A. County Committee on School Organization
  • Mr. Frank Ogaz, L.A. County Committee on School District Organization

The CVRA Forum is free for all attendees and breakfast will be provided.  Districts are encouraged to send representatives from both their staff anf their governing boards.
