Part 2 of 3 – Administrative Appeal and the Statute of Limitations

  • Retaliation,
  • Right to an Administrative Appeal,
  • Special Rules for Chiefs of Police,
  • 1-year Statute of Limitations,
  • Exceptions to the 1-year Statute of Limitations, and
  • Re-opening an investigation.

Part 3 of 3 – Personnel Files, Brady list, Locker Searches, and Punitive Damages

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Right to review adverse comments prior to being place in personnel file,
  • Impacts of being placed on the Brady list,
  • Right to submit a written rebuttal to any adverse comment in personnel file,
  • Right to inspect personnel files,
  • Prohibited actions by employer,
  • Locker Searches,
  • Punitive Damages for Willful violation of POBR, and
  • Right to wear an item containing the American Flag and exceptions to this right.

This live webinar series includes comprehensive course materials.  For each session participants will receive an email with a copy of the information to be presented prior to the training date.
