EAC | Legal and Practical Methods of Preventing Workplace Violence

Workplace violence can range from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults. The latest statistics show that nearly 10% of the fatal occupational injuries that occur in the United States were workplace homicides. 

Attorney Paul Fleck will review the legal requirements and employer responsibilities under the California Labor Code, Cal-OSHA, and the Workplace Violence Safety Act, as well as your legal liability in negligent hiring and retention. 

Barry Mozian, President of Talon Investigations, a professional security and risk management firm, will cover how to recognize and handle potential threats, detecting dysfunctional employees, warning signs of violent behavior, types of acts of violence, practical intervention techniques, and how to develop a prevention plan.
