The Fair Labor Standards Act, Third Edition Published with Contributions from AALRR Partner Robert

Robert Fried, a partner in Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo’s (AALRR) Pleasanton office, contributed to the recently released treatise The Fair Labor Standards Act, Third Edition. Fried also contributed to the second edition, which has received considerable praise from legal practitioners. Published by Bloomberg BNA, the treatise is an important tool to help attorneys understand the basics and the nuances of FLSA coverage and exemptions. The two-volume set provides a balanced and comprehensive treatment of the FLSA statute, with meticulous citations and footnotes. More information about the updated version, including ordering information, can be found here:

“I am honored to have been asked to share my legal expertise with attorneys across the country,” Fried said.

Fried manages the Northern California Private Sector Labor and Employment practice for AALRR’s Employer Services Practice Group. In addition to serving as litigation defense counsel, mediator, and expert witness, Fried maintains an extensive regulatory and policy practice on state and federal issues at the agency level. His particular areas of expertise include wage and hour law, human resources, international labor and employment law, construction, energy, hospitality and manufacturing.
