There is a fine line schools must observe when it comes to asking for donations to cover costs associated with school programs.  Many schools ask for donations to help cover the costs associated with running sporting teams, or supplies for certain classes.  How a schools asks for donations, and the ramifications of not donating, can greatly influence which side of the law they are on.  Partner, Mark Bresee, helps define the law with respect to how a school can approach this subject.
