SACRAMENTO, Calif. —Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to welcome partner Michael S. Middleton to its Sacramento office, where he will work in the firm’s Employment Law and Construction Law practices. AALRR’s Sacramento office is focused on public and private sector labor and employment law, as well as serving as legal counsel to all levels of the education sector.

“Michael’s well-rounded expertise in both litigation and transactional law will provide essential support to the firm’s broad base of corporate and private sector clients,” notes Firm Managing Partner James C. Romo.

Middleton has two decades of litigation experience with much of his practice also dedicated to counseling, contract review and drafting in employment defense, construction law, general business litigation, injury defense and insurance coverage.

“As the Sacramento regional economy gains traction, with increased growth in employment and the construction industry in particular,, Michael will serve as a very valuable addition to our office,” says Terry Filliman, Sacramento Office Managing Partner.

According to the U.S. Commerce Department, recent California housing starts represented the highest level of residential building activity since 2008 and Sacramento is one of the regional markets benefiting from this rise in construction.*

Prior to joining AALRR, Middleton was a partner with Middleton, Young and Minney, LLP. He received his J.D. from McGeorge School of Law at University of the Pacific and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
