AALRR Adds Two New Partners: William Gay and Jonathan Vick

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) announce the addition of William Gay and Jonathan Vick as partners in its Cerritos and Irvine offices. Representing employers in all aspects of corporate law, Mr. Gay was most recently of counsel with Luce Forward LLP. Mr. Vick will handle matters dealing with private construction, litigation and labor law, and was most recently a partner with Robertson & Vick, LLP.

James C. Romo, AALRR’s managing partner, said the following about Mr. Gay joining the Firm: "Bill's decades of experience in corporate law will complement the legal services we offer our clients. We are excited to have Bill join the firm. Bill joins a group of attorneys who have deep and broad experience and knowledge in corporate and business law."

Mr. Gay has close to 30 years of experience as a business/corporate lawyer, with extensive experience working with domestic and foreign clients in securities, real estate, intellectual property and franchising. Since 1988, Mr. Gay has worked in Southern California, where his practice focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and technology transfers. Previously, he practiced law in Tokyo, where he represented U.S. companies in their Japanese operations, and Japanese issuers and underwriters in Eurobond securities issues. He speaks and reads Japanese. Gay has been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America®, 2006-2011; and was named “Corporate Lawyer of the Year” for Orange County by Best Lawyers, in 2009, the first year that this title was awarded. Mr. Gay is a frequent speaker to professional groups.

With respect to Mr. Vick, Jim Romo remarked: "Our clients in the private construction industry will certainly benefit from the addition of Jonathan Vick. Mr. Vick has more than 23 years of experience in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has extensive experience with construction defect claims, construction claims, mechanics liens, wage and hour, prevailing wage, OSHA, wrongful termination, catastrophic personal injury, toxic torts and environmental cases. Vick has demonstrated an ability to expertly manage all stages of high profile, complex, multi-party litigation cases. Mr. Vick has previous experience as a trial attorney with the Office of the Solicitor, U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Vick has lectured extensively on construction defect matters, OSHA compliance and mold. He was a consultant and contributor to Advising California Employers and Employees, 2005 Edition, CEB.
