AALRR Ranked by Law360 in the Top Ten Nationally for Minority Equity Partners and for Minority
CERRITOS, CALIF. Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) has been recognized by Law360 as the second best law firm in the country for minority equity partners and the ninth best in the country for minority attorneys in general. After surveying over 300 firms, Law360 made two lists: a ranking of the Top 50 Firms for Minority Equity Partners based on the firms’ percentage of minority equity partners; and a ranking of the Top 100 Firms for Minority Attorneys based on the firms’ minority representation of partners and non-partners and its total number of minority attorneys. AALRR ranked in the top ten on both lists.
Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo has received many other accolades for its diversity. California Lawyer Magazine recently named AALRR as the most diverse firm for partners among all California law firms. Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. gave AALRR its 2014 National Diversity Excellence Award.
AALRR is highly committed to hiring, keeping, and promoting minority attorneys. A diverse group of AALRR attorneys conducts employment interviews. This helps attorneys from minority backgrounds feel more welcome and at ease while also giving the firm broad perspectives in making hiring decisions. AALRR has had longstanding mentoring and networking opportunities, which have recently been formalized with a new “AALRR Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.” The Initiative focuses on promoting diversity and inclusion within the firm and in the community.
“We’re very pleased, but not at all surprised to be recognized as one of the top firms in the country for minority attorneys,” said Mark Palin, AALRR’s Managing Partner. “We believe having a diverse group of attorneys who can and do advance to the equity partnership level is good for our firm, our clients, and the community at large.”
