AALRR Named Top Firm in the Nation for Minority Equity Partners for Third Year in a Row
Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (“AALRR”) is thrilled to announce it has been named the top firm in the nation for minority equity partners and the fifth in the nation for minority attorneys in general in Law360’s annual Diversity Snapshot. AALRR has held the top spot for minority equity partners for three years in a row.
“From our diversity and inclusion committees to our rigorous mentoring programs to our hiring and recruiting initiatives, AALRR prioritizes cultivating a diverse staff whose global perspectives directly benefit the clients we serve,” commented Managing Partner Mark Palin. “Our repeated recognition on Law360’s list is a testament to both our continued diversity efforts—and our inclusion successes.”
Nationwide, just over 16% of attorneys and 9% of partners are minorities—numbers which have not changed since last year. In stark contrast, over a quarter of AALRR’s attorneys identify as minorities—and with 32% of the firm’s equity partners identifying as minorities, AALRR more than triples the national average.
AALRR has received significant recognition over the last several years for its robust diversity initiatives. In March 2019, AALRR received the Associated Builders and Contractors Diversity Excellence Award for the fifth year. The firm was presented with the California Lawyers Association’s inaugural Law Firm Diversity Award in September 2018. In October 2017, the firm was recognized with the California Minority Counsel Program’s prestigious Drucilla Stender Ramey Majority-Owned Law Firm Award.
These awards are meaningful—but the most important benefits from the firm’s ongoing initiatives come from our clients’ recognition of our ongoing commitment to promoting diversity and the recognition by the firm’s attorneys and staff that everyone has a seat at the table.
