A Failed Bill Generates a Sigh of Relief in the Central Valley

On August 31, 2012, AB 1313, a bill that would have greatly impacted California’s agricultural industry, failed passage in the California legislature.  AB 1313 would have required giving farmworkers who work more than a 40-hour week, time-and-a-half.
