2025 Education Law Art Contest
Five talented high school students woke up to some exciting news this week as Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) announced the winners of its seventh annual High School Art Contest! Held in conjunction with the Firm’s Education Law Conference, the contest invited 11th and 12th grade students from schools across California to submit a piece of original artwork that creatively captures the theme of this year’s conference: Leadership in Action.
While the works themselves varied, the themes students chose to depict—from social justice activism and the leadership of one’s country, to the importance of role models, humility, and strong familial bonds—were unanimously inspiring.
As a leader in education law, AALRR believes in giving back to the students and school districts its attorneys serve daily, and our annual art contest is one way of doing so. Five winners will each receive a $500 check, and their respective schools will receive $250 toward the purchase of art supplies.
There was a strong turnout this year from students across Northern and Southern California. The school districts from which these students were awarded include: Covina-Valley Unified School District, Mojave Unified School District, Temple City Unified School District, and Upland Unified School District.
