AALRR Commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month
Today, September 15th, marks the beginning of a month long celebration of the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the growth and prosperity of our nation. AALRR is proud to honor the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans, past and present, who through their rich culture, traditions, and industrious work-ethic have transformed this nation into a strong and prosperous land of opportunity.
The official theme of this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month is “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation,” which reminds us that the American identity is a fabric of diverse traditions and stories woven together. Since the beginning, our country has drawn strength and insights from the Latino/Hispanic community, which has distinguished itself in numerous fields and professions, including law, education, business, science, sports, art, literature, as well as their contributions to the civil rights movement.
Our firm, widely recognized by several publications as one of the most diverse law firms in the country and co-founded by two Hispanic/Latinos, James Romo and Paul Loya, exemplifies how culturally diverse leaders have enriched the field of law. In addition, our Managing Partner, James Baca, is the second Hispanic/Latino Managing Partner at AALRR. During this month we also recognize the many Hispanic/Latino employees who have helped make AALRR the firm it is today, and all that they bring to their work, the firm, and to their communities.
Throughout this celebratory month, AALRR's DEI Committee has planned some special events and will also highlight Hispanics/Latinos who have made invaluable and lasting contributions to our country, state, and firm. Stay tuned. We hope you will all join us.
