Governor Brown Signs Numerous Bills Affecting Employers
Among the legislation the Governor Brown signed are bills limiting an employer’s ability to request personal social media information from employees and applicants, and laying groundwork for private non-unionized employers to enroll employees in a government-created defined benefits program, and comprehensive workers’ compensation reform.
The Governor also vetoed several bills, including those addressing domestic workers’ rights and agricultural employee safety.
