CRISIS COORDINATION 2.0: Lessons from the Field – Navigating a Real-Time Workplace Crisis While Protecting Legal, Public, and Labor Strategy
In today’s high-stakes environment, HR professionals are increasingly expected to lead an organization through moments of crisis—while balancing legal exposure, employee trust, public scrutiny, and internal morale. Building on last year’s widely attended session, this presentation offers a behind-the-scenes look at how an actual workplace crisis was navigated by a public agency—using an anonymized case study based on the presenters’ recent work with a Northern California public agency. Presenters Jenica Maldonado, L&E Partner and Ethics Specialist at AALRR and a former Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, and Justine Hinderliter, Co-Founder and Principal of Partners in Public Innovation and former Chief People Officer at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, will walk participants through how they partnered to coordinate and execute legal, public, and labor strategies during a fast-evolving crisis.
