Cultural Competence and Sensitivity in the Workplace & Effective Communication

Understanding people of different backgrounds and cultures is increasingly important in today’s multicultural work environment.  Cultural sensitivity training helps educational institutions increase cultural competency and prevent conflicts that can lead to incidents of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Participants will learn what it means to have cultural sensitivity and how to implement culturally sensitive behavior. We will also discuss techniques for improving communication between employees in the workplace and resolving conflicts.
