Building Legally Compliant School Based Health and Wellness

School based health and its possibilities is the subject of great discussion and
development. Everything from Tier 1 prevention and intervention to wellness centers, federally qualified health care centers, health care partnerships and more are being explored and executed. This presentation will highlight the work of experts facilitating the development of such school based health programming across California. We will present models of differing school based health and intervention programs, means to building such programs, and discuss the various laws that must be considered and navigated as you go, including HIPPA/FERPA, information sharing, ADA and others.
