Overview

Trang Tran has over 25 years of experience as a litigator. Ms. Tran’s practice focusses on complex litigation with emphasis on business litigation, product warranty litigation and professional liability. Her experience also includes employment and real estate litigation, as well as appellate work in state and federal courts. Ms. Tran has represented a wide variety of private and public entities, both large and small, in all stages of the litigation process from initial case assessment to trial and through the appellate process. Ms. Tran has also litigated class action matters in the insurance context.

Representative Matters

PNY Technologies, Inc. v. Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co., LLP (November 2016): A California federal jury deliberated for three hours and awarded zero to plaintiff. (USDC, N.D. Cal.)

Mosier v. Stonefield: Summary judgment in favor of firm’s client in litigation initiated by S.E.C. receiver in alleged Ponzi scheme that raised over $800 million. USDC, C.D. Cal. WL4859635.

Conquest v. Hinton, Kreditor, Gronroos LLP: Plaintiffs claimed over $25 million in damages due to accountant’s alleged negligent preparation of a business appraisal.  After a 9 day trial, the Court entered judgment in favor of accountant and against Plaintiffs and awarded accountant $450,000 in costs of suit and disbursements.
