Overview
Tanveer Moundi represents California school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in general education and law and employment law matters. Ms. Moundi’s practice includes advice and counsel for matters involving discrimination, harassment, investigations, litigation, retaliation, student discipline, Title IX compliance, and wage and hour.
Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Moundi worked in civil litigation, with an emphasis on public entity and corporate entity defense. During her undergrad at the University of California, San Diego, Ms. Moundi wrote an award-winning thesis on methods for reducing prison recidivism rates. She was also a member of the founding cohort of the Life Course Scholars Program, a unique interdisciplinary program that fosters meaningful intergenerational connections and performs research on healthy aging.
While attending Golden Gate University, School of Law, Ms. Moundi earned the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, was a regular on the Dean’s List, was a member of the Honors Lawyering Program, and was elected as Chief Administrative Officer of the Business Law Association. Ms. Moundi also earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Advanced Legal Research and Writing. Additionally, she was an author and editor for the university’s Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice Law Journal.
