Overview
Sinead McDonough represents California school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in general education and employment law matters. Mrs. McDonough’s practice includes matters involving labor relations and collective bargaining, discrimination, harassment, investigations, employee leaves, First Amendment, student discipline and student rights. Mrs. McDonough also serves as a visiting lecturer at the University of California, Davis School of Law.
Prior to joining AALRR, Mrs. McDonough provided general advice and counsel for K-12 school districts, community college districts, and other public agencies. Mrs. McDonough regularly represented public agencies in proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), the Civil Rights Department (CRD), and civil grand juries. Mrs. McDonough also has a history of handling classified dismissal cases before local boards or hearing officers as well as conducting workplace and Title IX investigations for public agencies. During Mrs. McDonough’s time in law school, she served as a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and UC Davis Law Review.
