Overview
Shiksha Patel represents California school districts and county offices of education in special education law and student disability matters. Ms. Patel focuses her practice on disability accommodation, student discipline, due process, Section 504 complaints, CDE compliance complaints, and discrimination claims.
Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Patel practiced Juvenile Dependency in parent representation where she advocated for children to return home to their parents. Ms. Patel was simultaneously involved in creating legislative change in favor of indigent clients and testified on behalf of her Bill at the California State Assembly.
