Overview

Shawn Olsen represents public school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in all aspects of labor and employment and general education law. Mr. Olsen provides advice and counsel on a variety of matters including collective bargaining and labor relations, discrimination, harassment, and unfair labor practices.

Mr. Olsen has extensive experience in labor relations and federal employment law. He has provided critical guidance on employee grievances, arbitrations, disciplinary matters, and performance issues, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and collective bargaining agreements. Mr. Olsen has significant labor law experience, including handling unfair labor practices charges related to grievances and participating in mediation and impasse proceedings related to negotiations. He previously served as a Senior Labor Relations Specialist for the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) where he negotiated high profile agreements and worked on national grievance and arbitration cases.
