Overview
Richard Hyde is a skilled trial attorney with over a decade of experience in civil litigation. Mr. Hyde focuses his practice on consumer class actions, business litigation, Proposition 65, and California’s Unfair Competition Law. He has successfully represented clients in consumer class actions and in litigation matters involving civil rights violations, real estate, mass torts, toxic exposure, and insurance bad faith claims. He also has significant experience in defending automotive industry clients in consumer warranty actions and litigation involving violations of California’s Song-Beverly Act.

Morales v. Well-Pict Berries, Ventura County Superior Court, Case No. 56-2016-00481672: won unanimous defense verdict after nine-week trial on claims related to alleged pesticide exposure at commercial strawberry farm.
Gamez v. Summit Naturals, Inc., 2022 WL 17886027 (C.D. Cal. Oct. 24, 2022): obtained judgment on the pleadings in class action alleging violations of California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, and Consumer Legal Remedies Act.
Lamons v. Glanbia Performance Nutrition (NA), Inc., 2023 WL 5651969 (C.D. Cal. Aug. 31, 2023): obtained dismissal of all claims in class action alleging violations of California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, breach of warranty, and fraud.
