Overview
Phillip Gomez represents public entity employers in various aspects of labor and employment law, including matters involving employment policies and procedures, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, employee discipline, wrongful termination, retaliation, compliance with state and federal labor laws, and wage and hour. Additionally, Mr. Gomez also represents clients in general litigation and legal advisory services.
During law school, Mr. Gomez was a summer clerk for the Oakland City Attorney’s Office, and for the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation in Honolulu, Hawaii. After law school, Mr. Gomez was selected as a 2024 – 2025 Christopher M. Patti Legal Fellow for the University of California. Working in the University President’s Office, Mr. Gomez was a part of the Office of the General Counsel, providing legal services to the University’s ten campuses, affiliated healthcare facilities, and three Department of Energy National Laboratories.
