Overview

Marilyn Valdez represents California school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in general education law and employment law matters. Her practice includes matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, student discipline, and wage and hour compliance.

Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Valdez's practice involved working in matters related to medical malpractice and elder abuse allegations. She has represented private health institutions, health care providers, and facilities that provided health care treatment.

While in law school, Ms. Valdez completed a legal externship with the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California’s criminal division, supporting attorneys by preparing legal memoranda and conducting legal research related to fraud crimes.
