Overview

Joshua Carlon represents a diverse group of employers in all aspects of California state and federal labor and employment litigation and provides extensive consulting on workplace compliance.

As a litigator, Mr. Carlon defends clients in complex class actions and representative actions brought pursuant to the Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”), in addition to single plaintiff claims inclusive of both wage and hour matters and wrongful termination, discrimination, and other claims brought under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act.

His approach to complex litigation is multi-faceted, with the primary initial goal of providing clients with comprehensive, expeditious, and cost-effective case analyses and defense strategies.  Utilizing these strategies, Mr. Carlon has achieved great success for his clients, both by prevailing in numerous class actions and PAGA matters at the class certification and pre-trial stage, and by reaching favorable and below-market value settlements.

Mr. Carlon also provides his clients with guidance and counseling regarding written employment policies, day-to-day workplace practices, and payroll calculations in an effort to achieve full compliance with California’s complex employment laws and deter/prevent further costly litigation.
