Overview
Jennifer Hsiao represents companies and organizations in all aspects of business and complex commercial litigation from inception through resolution, counseling in a myriad of substantive areas of the law. Ms. Hsiao defends employers in both federal and state courts in claims arising from employment and labor matters including discrimination, harassment, leaves of absence, Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and wage and hour.
Ms. Hsiao has a strong passion and background in social activism, and remains heavily involved in community affairs, including her work with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office to facilitate the growth of cultural and economic resources for Asian American professionals and associations in the United States. Her mission is to build a bridge not only between first and second-generation Asian Americans, but also between Asian Americans and their government abroad. Ms. Hsiao also serves on the executive board of Taiwanese American Lawyers Association and has served on the boards of Taiwanese American Professionals and Business Network International.
Ms. Hsiao previously clerked for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California; the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO); the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and the Public Defender’s Offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Riverside.
