Overview

Janette Malanowski represents school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in all aspects of labor and employment law and in general education matters.  Ms. Malanowski focuses primarily on personnel-related matters, including certificated and classified discipline and dismissals, employee leaves, and personnel investigations. She also represents school districts in all aspects of special education law, including matters related to ADA, IDEA, and Section 504, equity in education, and the Office for Civil Rights.

In her third year of law school, Ms. Malanowski externed for the Honorable Judge Donald J. Currier. During her externship, she sat beside several Sacramento judges, learning insight into the court’s decision-making process. When her externship finished, Ms. Malnowski was asked to continue working with the court, assisting the Honorable Judge John P. Winn.

Ms. Malanowski’s firsthand experience beside the judges has provided invaluable knowledge that she passes on to her clients. She understands how difficult the court process can be. She is there for her clients every step of the way, providing advice and support.

Honors & Recognitions

Ms. Malanowski has been named a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year since 2021.
