Overview

Jalyn Mitchell represents California school districts and county offices of education in special education law and student disability matters. Ms. Mitchell focuses her practice on disability accommodation, student discipline, due process, Section 504 complaints, CDE compliance complaints, and discrimination claims.

Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Mitchell worked with agencies such as the Bay Area Legal Aid Youth Justice Team, representing her clients in cases involving student discipline, family law, foster care entry, probate guardianships, and public benefits.

Honors & Recognitions

While in law school, Jalyn Mitchell served as President of the Public Interest Law Society, and as a member of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition Team, winning numerous regional and national honors.
