Overview
Candie Y. Chang has over 24 years of experience as a litigator. Ms. Chang’s practice focusses on complex litigation with an emphasis on business litigation, real estate litigation, and product warranty litigation. Her experience also includes appellate work. Ms. Chang has represented a wide variety of private and business entity clients, both large and small, in all stages of the litigation process from initial case assessment to trial and through appeals.
Representative Matters
- In an action by the borrowers against a lender for violation of the California False Claims Act, fraud, violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, breach of contract, wrongful foreclosure, violation of Business and Professions Code section 17200 et seq., and violation of Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the court sustained our lender client’s demurrer on plaintiffs’ third amended complaint without leave to amend, and entered judgment in favor of our lender client.
- Drinkwater v. Stewart Title of California (2025): Plaintiff alleges fraud and elder abuse by lender and escrow officer in which plaintiff claimed over $230 million in damages. After a 7-week jury trial, the jury rendered a judgment in favor of our escrow client on all counts.
