Overview

Amber Les focuses her practice on complex civil and commercial litigation and has represented a broad range of clients in high-stakes matters in both state and federal court. She regularly advises local, state, and federal government officials in regulatory compliance, federal and state constitutional law, and land use disputes over water rights. Ms. Les advises clients in all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling and investigation through discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeals. She has experience successfully defending and resolving multimillion dollar wrongful death and products liability claims through mediation and arbitration, as well as achieving favorable outcomes for clients in mediations and arbitrations resolving employment disputes and harassment and discrimination claims.

Ms. Les previously served as a judicial extern to the Honorable S. James Otero of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and served as Essays, Comments, and Reviews Co-Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review.  While in law school, Ms. Les won First Place at Pepperdine Law’s Moriarity Moot Court competition, Second Place Brief at the Notre Dame National Appellate Advocacy Tournament for Religious Freedom, and was one of only 12 competitors in the Los Angeles Region to qualify for Nationals in the 2019 Saul Lefkowitz International Trademark Association Appellate Advocacy Competition.  In 2020, U.S. Solicitor General Noel J. Francisco named her Champion of the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court competition after she successfully argued on behalf of the EPA on issues involving the Clean Air Act and agency interpretation. Ms. Les was inducted into the Order of Barristers and the Order of the Coif.
