Ed Reitkopp has more than 25 years experience in labor and employment law, his chosen area of expertise. He has provided counsel both for agencies in the public sector and for Fortune 500 companies in the private sector. He has also served as a hearing officer for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Mr. Reitkopp represents school districts and cities in employment litigation in state and federal court. He appears before the California Commission on Professional Competence, representing school districts in teacher termination hearings. He also represents clients before school boards, hearing officers and arbitrators on disciplinary matters and union contract disputes. 

Mr. Reitkopp previously served as in-house labor counsel for the National Broadcasting Company and the Lockheed Corporation, representing them in all facets of labor and employment law. He also served as counsel in a precedent-setting class action employment discrimination lawsuit involving the County of Los Angeles that was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. As a hearing officer for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, he presided at administrative hearings to resolve allegations of employment discrimination brought by U.S. Government employees.
