Having been in practice for nearly six decades, Alex Bowie brings an incredible breadth of experience to the firm’s facilities and construction team, as well as other public law matters and cases he handles. He first began work representing public agencies after serving for several years as an Assistant County Counsel for the County of Orange. Subsequently, he has been a pioneer in the public law sector, serving as a member and founding member of many related organizations, including the Urban Water Institute, and the CASH (Coalition for Adequate School Housing) Legislative Advisory Committee and as co-chairman of its Legal Advisory Committee.
Mr. Bowie has served on various legislative committees of organizations such as the State Bar Association and the Association of California Water Agencies. He has been a lecturer for programs pertaining to public financing of public infrastructure at seminars conducted by the University of California as well as the Building Industry Association of California and the Urban Water Institute. Additionally, he has served as an instructor in continuing education programs at the University of California at Riverside as well as the University of California at Los Angeles in public law matters.
