Overview
Joanna Kwong represents California school districts in the area of special education law. Ms. Kwong handles matters related to ADA, IDEA, and Section 504; equity in education, the Office for Civil Rights; and student discipline.
Ms. Kwong previously served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Evan Nordby at the United States Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, where she dealt with a variety of complaints and claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. She also previously served at the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the UC Davis Office of Campus Counsel, and an education law firm in Sacramento.
