Dorian Peters is a Senior Associate in AALRR’s Northern California Education Law Practice Group. He has extensive experience conducting workplace and Title IX investigations, including complaints of alleged harassment, discrimination, retaliation, bullying, and other misconduct.

Mr. Peters started his legal career in criminal law and has worked as a prosecutor and defense attorney, as well as a police officer/detective. During his legal career, he has investigated, prosecuted, and defended hundreds of criminal and civil allegations, tried more than 30 cases before a jury and conducted hundreds of evidentiary hearings. He also previously represented school administrators in their employment disciplinary matters.

Mr. Peters enjoys following the latest trends in technology. As a detective, he focused on fraud and cyber-crimes, providing him with extensive experience diving into financial records, finding assets, and tracking down people who hide behind online accounts or IP addresses.

Mr. Peters is currently President of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Contra Costa County and on the Leadership Council of the Center for Youth Development through Law.
