Art Contest Rules
In conjunction with our 2023 Education Law Conference, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) would like to promote equity and excellence in education by sponsoring a statewide art contest for all junior and senior high school students enrolled in public education.
Art pieces will be displayed during the 2023 Education Law Conference on November 9, 2023, at the Cerritos Sheraton Hotel and on November 14, 2023 at the Stockton Hilton. The winning pieces will be on display in the firm’s headquarter office in Cerritos and on the firm’s website for one year.
I. Winning Entries:
The winning entries will be chosen by retired educational professionals.
AALRR will give each of the five winners a $500 check and the winning students’ schools will receive $250 worth of art supplies sponsored by AALRR. The check for art supplies will be mailed to the student’s art teacher.
II. Contest Rules:
Students should create a work of art that visually captures the essence of New Mindsets for How We Lead—in a celebratory fashion. Entrants will be critiqued on theme, execution, and creativity.

Artists may use any colorful medium that includes markers, paints, pastels, colored pencils, or crayons. Pencil drawings shall also be acceptable.
- ALL ENTRIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE REGISTRATION FORM
