Partner

Mark W. Thompson is a partner in the Riverside office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, representing public school districts in the areas of education law, certificated and classified employee discipline, harassment and discrimination complaints, collective bargaining and contract administration.  He also advises on copyright, trademark, licensing and other intellectual property matters.

Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School, where he was a member of the Whittier Law Review.  He is admitted to practice before all California courts, the United States District Court, Central District of California, the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Thompson has presented at workshops and conferences on various subjects in education, employment, and copyright law, and is a trainer in the FRISK® Documentation Model.  He is a frequent contributor to firm publications and is a featured presenter for the Inland Personnel Council.
