Community Involvement
Our firm is committed to community building. Our attorneys support local school initiatives, are members of local chambers of commerce, and are board members for school districts, chambers of commerce, and other not-for-profit organizations.

We are currently involved in an initiative designed to strengthen the book collections of our local school libraries, BookSmart©. BookSmart© was created by Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo as a Library Outreach Program to enhance district library collections. “It’s nothing new, everyone knows that reading can make a huge difference in a child’s academic success,” stated Managing Partner James C. Romo. “The difference is, our firm decided to support school district library initiatives and create a program to reach out to districts across California, to provide them with an opportunity to obtain library or in-class books from Scholastic.” The program provides for maximum flexibility by allowing each district to choose their own books or collections based on their library needs.
Next time you attend one of our firm’s conferences or sponsored events look for your opportunity to win a Scholastic certificate!
