Education Attorney Joins AALRR’s Pleasanton Office

10.16.2012

PLEASANTON, Calif. —Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to welcome partner Elizabeth J. Rho-Ng to its Pleasanton office, where she will work in the firm’s Education Practice.

Rho-Ng represents public school districts on legal compliance issues related to students, including students with disabilities. She also brings extensive experience on topics ranging from Section 504 Office of Civil Rights complaint investigations to discipline and attendance issues, and has litigated special education cases in both state and federal courts.

“In California, approximately 15% of children have special health care needs,* and school districts must be well-prepared to address their responsibility to these students,” says Chesley D. Quaide, managing partner in AALRR’s Pleasanton office and chair of the firm’s Northern California Education Practice. “Elizabeth Rho-Ng’s broad experience in this area complements our strong education practice.”

Prior to joining AALRR, Rho-Ng served as chair of the Special Education and Student Issues Practice Group for Danis Woliver Kelly in San Francisco and served as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Rho-Ng received her J.D. from Northeastern University and a B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin.
